With reference to my Despatch No. 196 of

the 9th. ultimo, I have the honour to inform you that ex-

Inspector J. J. McMichael died of alcoholic poisoning on the

6th. instant. No further action in the matter of his suspensior

is therefore necessary. I telegraphed to this effect today.
